Officer Jon C. Draper died while conducting a routine check of wildlife traps in Straight Canyon, near Orangeville.
When Officer Draper failed to report in, searchers located his body approximately 50 yards from the road. He had collapsed and died from a heart attack while hiking through deep snow. Officer Draper was married and the father of five children. He is buried in Centerville City Cemetery.
