As a 501(c)(3) public charity, contributions to the Utah Law Enforcement Memorial (“ULEM”) are deductible for federal income tax purposes as provided under the Internal Revenue Code. Your registration is believed to be a deductible contribution to ULEM, in whole or in part. Of course, a donor should consult his or her own tax advisor regarding the deductibility of a charitable contribution. Contributions are reduced by the value of any goods or services provided in connection with the donation. ULEM estimates the value of goods and services provided with the registration is $5.00. |
I was wondering if you have any ride patches from the 2012 ride. I would be interested in purchasing 2 of them. My friend and fellow Officer, Jared Francom was killed on January 4, 2012 in the line of duty. I thought I purchased a few patches last year but I can’t seem to find them now. Please let me know one way or the other. Thank you
James,
I know that we have some ride pins, but not the patches. You can view the pins here:

I had a friend ask if it would be possible to do a flag that we could fly on our motorcycles similar to the POW, MIA, US flags that are flown. I thought that would be a great idea to go along with the pins. I bet they would sell like hot cakes.
Kevin, as a board we have been looking at ordering motorcycle sized versions of our ULEM flag. Unfortunately the bids didn’t come in time to have for this year’s ride. It’s possible that we may order some and put them on our website for sale and have them for next year’s ride also. We also think they will sell like hot cakes.
Thanks for your support Kevin!
I found the thin blue line car flag on line at http://www.cafepress.com/+thin_blue_line_car_flag,875546786 I am not tied to this web site, nor am I trying to promote them in any way. I know there are other places to find this flag as well.
The ride fee includes breakfast at Marley’s Cafe, an Armband, LawTigers motorcylce registration and important document wallet, a bandanna, and a 2013 ride pin or patch. Extra pins, patches, etc will be for sale. T-shirts for 2013 will also be sold for $20.00.
This will be 7th ride. Looking forward 2 it.
Hello. We really enjoyed this years ride, and the fees do go to a great cause. I have no problem making that donation. However, myself and MANY others that PRE-Registered were extremely disappointed that the bandannas were GONE before we could get them. Bill Justesen said certain items were included, We did pay for them, but had we had known they would be given away on a first come first serve basis, we wouldn’t have visited with friends first and instead would have rushed in to make sure we got our stuff first, we thought pre-registration meant pre-purchase as well. We do appreciate all of the work you are doing in support of the fallen officers, but please be more clear on first come first serve items, that claim to be part of paying for the ride. Thank you so much!
Angela, I forwarded your message to the board. They will be posting a reply here soon. I don’t want you to think we have forgotten you.
Angela, You are absolutely right. Packets containing the bandana and wristband were set aside for pre-registered riders and passengers, but in the commotion of the day, volunteers mistakenly took packets from the pre-registration station to give to registering riders at the cash and credit desks. We as a ULEM board sincerely apologize for the disappointment you and others felt at not receiving your items when you checked in. If you will click on this link, https://www.utahsfallen.org/support/contact, you can give us your mailing address and it will remain confidential. We will send those items as soon as we can. Thank you for participating in the Ride! It is an exciting and moving event for all who participate and gratifying for the families and friends of the fallen to see thousands rally to REMEMBER and HONOR their loved ones.
