I am very proud to say I am Officer Joshua Yazzie’s mother. On June 7, 2010, his earthly life ended. He started a new journey. Our lifes have been changed, and we have been force to make ajustment to live without Joshua. We are standing strong as a family. Each day since his death we have heard from an individual or it maybe several individuals (from all walks of life), they come to talk with us and tell a story of how Officer Yazzie took time from his day to speak with them, how he showed respect to them & their family, to listen, how they love him and miss him. This has increased our pride to be his family. He touched alot of hearts young and old. It’s been nine weeks since Joshua passed away, we cry each day, and tell ourselves tomorrow it will be a little better. My prays for stength and peace include you all. Thank you for the support you have given us.

I was on a military deployment overseas last June and just got back, so I missed this story. Josh and I served an LDS mission together in Oklahoma at the same time. He had a fantastic personality and was fun to be around. Even though I haven’t seen him in years I will miss him greatly. God speed Josh.
